Overcoming Pain Through Rehabilitation
As part of your treatment program at the Center for Complex Abdominal and Pelvic Pain Syndrome (CAPPS) at Celebration Health, you’ll undergo physical therapy at one of the best rehabilitation programs in the nation.
We are very proud of our physical therapists who use their vast knowledge and expertise in physiology, physical fitness and rehabilitation to create a personalized program that will help you enjoy a life where pain is manageable, if not totally absent.
Our physical therapists will work with you individually to create a program just for you, one that helps you manage your pain, restore mobility and regain your strength and energy.
The CAPPS physical therapy team has a wide range of tools and techniques at their disposal to help you reduce muscle tension, increase flexibility, improve joint mobility and decrease the symptoms associated with adhesions and pelvic pain. Options may include trigger point release, strain/counterstrain, soft tissue mobilization, deep stretching and joint mobilization.
In addition to offering you physical exercises and routines meant to restore mobility and limit pain, our physical therapists utilize a range of state-of-the-art technologies to facilitate your rehabilitation, including electrical stimulation, ultrasound, interferential stimulation and transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS), all designed to help relieve pain and restore movement, strength and endurance.
For more than a century, Florida Hospital has been helping patients manage their pain and live a full and active life through leading edge treatments delivered by world-class experts who treat the whole person – mind, body and spirit with tremendous compassion and care.
