Kathy Y. Jones, MD
Celebration Health
A member of the Women’s Pelvic Surgery Center of Orlando, Dr. Jones is an expert in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery. She also serves as the Co-Director of the Advanced Gynecologic Endoscopy Fellowship at Celebration Health.
Dr. Jones earned her doctorate from the Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, N.C. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the New York University Medical Center and received her fellowship in Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery at Wayne State University/Hutzel Hospital, Detroit Medical Center in Detroit. She returned to the Orlando area in 1999 and now focuses her work on the care of women with pelvic defects, urinary incontinence and painful bladder syndrome.
She is board certified by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the National Board of Medical Examiners. She is active in several professional organizations, including the American Urogynecologic Society, American Medical Association, the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists and the Gynecologic Society for Uterine Disorders.
Dr. Jones is a noted lecturer on a range of topics, including advances in pelvic reconstructive surgery, tension-free slings and minimally invasive mesh repairs for prolapse.
She is the recipient of several prestigious awards, including the CREOG National Faculty Award for Excellence in Resident Education, the Lewis Shenker Memorial Award and the Trainee Investigator Award. Dr. Jones' credentials have earned her many research grants and academic appointments.
