Hello my name is Rose and I have had 3 c-sections and appendectomy. For about one year now i have had problems moving my bowels. Tests do not show anything wrong, however i know that there has been a change. I am not over weight, i exercise, and do not have any other medical history. Could this be adhesions around my bowels, causing me to have problems? Please any information will be hepful at this point. thank you.
Hello Cris,
Thank you very much for your time. I have not had anyone listen to me like you have for a very long time. It is nice to know that there is hope and someone is still willing to help me. I appreciate you helping me with obtaining my medical records and sharing everything with Dr. Redan before I make my trip to Florida. This has definetely made things easier for me. I can not wait to meet the whole staff. I hope they are as good with patients as you are. I have been waiting for this moment for a very long time, and thanks to CAPPS this time has come. Thanks again. Rose
Hello Rose, thank you for contacting our Center and for sharing your medical problem. It sounds like you could be suffering from bowel adhesions. However there is no test in the market that will diagnose it. Adhesions do not show up on MRI, CT scans, X-rays, the only way is to take a look with a scope inside your belly, with minimally invasive surgery. If the adhesion is indeed present they are then removed at that time. The procedure is mostly done as an outpatient bases, so you are in and out the hospital the same day. Please let me know if you would be interested in making an appointment with our specialists. I will be happy to assist you. Feel free to contact me at 407-303-4255 or email cristiane.ruiz@flhosp.org
Thank you Cris.
