Hi, can anyone tell me if adhesions can cause pain during intercourse? I have not had any sexual relations with my husband for about 6 months now due to extreme pain. My GYN does not see a problem when he examines me, and all the tests are negative so far... I don't know what else to do. I don't want to loose my husband and I want my life back. I have had 3 c-sections and an abdominal hysterectomy 2 years ago. The pain started about one year after the hysterectomy, and even my bowel patterns has changed too. Please I would appreciate any advice.
Thank you. P.

Hello Paullie, thank you so much for sharing your story in our forum. We have seen many patients state relief after having adhesions removed surgically. So yes your pain could be caused by adhesions. however the only way to truly diagnose it and take care of it would be going through a minimal invasive surgery to explore and remove the adhesions. Please contact me if you would be interested in taking the next step.
