About Celebration Health

Florida Hospital Celebration Health is a destination hospital that specializes in minimally invasive surgical procedures. This cutting-edge health and wellness center provides inpatient and outpatient services, 24-hour emergency care, maternity, cardiac services, diagnostic, catheterization, wellness programs, women's and men's health programs, as well as primary care and specialty physicians on-site. As Florida Hospital Celebration Health continues to expand, it will depend on the generous philanthropic support of the community.

BACKGROUND

Celebration Health is one of seven campuses of the Florida Hospital system, located in central Florida. Celebration Hospital was added as a campus in the Florida Hospital system in 1997. When the Disney Corporation decided to construct a "new town" located near its Disney World complex, it sought proposals for the construction and management of a hospital as part of that community. Florida Hospital was chosen among nationally competing hospitals. From its earliest stages of planning, this hospital was envisioned to be a "state-of-the-art" facility that would promote health and healing. The architecture, the extensive use of natural light and gardens, patient rooms and other spaces were designed to encourage patient and family involvement in care. At present, the hospital has 112 with eventual expansion to 350 beds by 2015. In addition to customary medical and surgical services, FHCH has world class cancer, orthopedic, neuroscience services, in addition to its specialized Surgical Learning Institute Bariatric Center of Excellence, state-of-the-art imaging including intraoperative CT scan, and a lifestyle enhancement program, Fitness Center and Day Spa.
